2015 was a huge year for the The Jungle Giants, not only did the band release a stunning second LP in Speakerzoid to a world wide audience, they also undertook a series of tour dates that saw them perform in front of many local audiences. Now fast forward to 2016 they have just announced their final run of tour dates on the back of Speakerzoid. 'The 'Together We Can Work Together' Tour will see the band perform a series of Licensed All-Ages shows in major Australian capital cities.
On Friday the 17th The Brisbane Indie popsters smashed out an absolutely killer set at the Triffid In Brisbane, with a line of eager fans snaked around the corner of the building waiting to get in  delivering polished guitar driven tunes, and frontman and songwriter Sam Hales slinky vocals teamed up with a whole lot of sexy reverb which are so unique and fits their catchy pop sound like no other could. One thing I can command the band on is how well they interact with the crowd, with high energy and the ability to allure everyones attention in the room. A personal favourite of mine was one of the bands most popular songs  'Mr Polite' with an intense but absolutely epic light show complimenting their performance, it would have been absolutely impossible not to move your body like a crazy person and crash into people surrounding you.
A very sudden turn of events happened 2 songs till the end of their set, somebody had light a cigarette in the mosh pitt, which resulted in the fire alarm going off and the  band getting kicked off the stage and all the audience to exit the venue so that the fire brigade could go and suss out the situation, after an hour or so of the fire brigade realising there was no actual fire, surprisingly we were all let back into the venue, the band finished their last 2 songs with only about 3 quarters of the original audience left. The band finished their set with a high energy performance of Kooky eyes with even better crowd interaction, with not seeing The Jungle Giants in person before I was taken away with how good they perform live and as a band!

Catch The Jungle Giants on their national tour with hopefully no more fire alarms!
