Q & A with Melbourne rockers Bench Press

Last year Melbourne band, Bench Press signed with highly acclaimed label Poison City and released their self- titled album. It has also recently been announced that they will be be apart of Damaged music, alongside bands like VOIID and Amyl & The Sniffers. Bench Press are into recording live. Quick-fire style. No nonsense. And that is expertly reflected through the album. We have no doubt that it will also be reflected in their live shows when they head up this way for first time ever! 

So your headed on a headline tour to support your self titled album is this the biggest tour you've ever been on before?
This is actually our first time playing shows outside of Melbourne. Really looking forward to it! 

Where are you looking forward to playing most? 
No where in particluar to be honest. Just keen to hit the road and play some new venues with some different bands and crowds. 

Since releasing the album how has it been going?
Been going great since releasing the album. Just playing lots of shows, writing more music and planning for the future. Got some more stuff coming out soon actually.

Whats the crazy thing thats happened to you at a show before?
One time Jack (our singer) got picked up off the stage, carried around for a bit then dropped back onto the stage right onto a pint glass which smashed under his bum. Luckily he was all good. 

What would be your ultimate gig? 
One where everyone gets along, feels comfortable, has the best time and wants to come to another BP show again. Also makes heaps of friends!

Would you rather lick a hairy mans armpit or cover yourself in honey and roll in the sand?

Your on a desert Island with a beautiful woman would you rather they are top half fish or bottom half fish?
 All fish haha

Would you rather...go to hog wards and still be a muggle? Or live in a world with Pokemon, but only be able to catch Magikarps? 
Magikarps are my favourite Pokemon 

Would you rather.. Have accordions for legs? Or have a huge belly button 10 inches long that swayed to the beat of popular music?
