Students of Sustainability is an annual environmental and social justice conference, organised by students, bringing together activists, entrepreneurs, speakers, educators and artists from around Australia for a week of celebration, education, culture, delicious food, networking and camping. SOS is based at a different university campus each year.

"The five day conference is open to anyone with a passion for sustainability, and welco
mes all that want to shake up this system of exploitation, of our people and planet. SoS will explore how we can act on environmental and social injustices in our own backyard through workshops, direct action, skillshares, excursions, story telling, gigs and performances."

They are having people come from far and wide, 3 environmental professionals from Bolivia and some Native folk from Reclaim Turtle Island group from Canada. They are organizing to have intensive Permaculture workshops for beginner and advanced levels, Yoga, Meditation, Direct action, Skill Sharing, Social Change Theory and discussion and updates on environmental campaigns from all around the country which lead us back to the central of the cause: Indigenous sovereignty.

Ticket options start from a gig ticket for the evenings who will include: Flamingo Jones, Beni Bjah, Luke Jaaniste of HARP collective, Danielle Vilella and Jonathan Sri with more being added. These tickets will cost $20 from 6pm.

The full week ticket which will include meals, camping and showers - start with a price for unwaged or underemployed people at $120 to a $250 ticket for anyone with disposable income.

This conference gives student's the chance to make a difference and speak for themselves! SOS is a great cause to get behind and we encourage all to attend!
