Before they hit the stage in a few Sundays time for the Sounds of Sunday sessions on the Gold Coast, Sydney's UPSKIRTS have something pretty trippy to show you.
In support of their brand new EP, "Barely Moving", the group have unveiled the astronomical visuals for their latest single, 'Open Yourself to the Sky'.
The official visuals follow the misadventure of one hapless cosmonaut floating through a final frontier that’s populated with flamingo dragons, space fox-owls, golden woman all existing to the soundtrack of wet guitars, melting vocals and a pulsing beat. The band once again enlisted the expertise of director Hannah Dougherty and producer James Brettell.
'Open Yourself to the Sky' is the latest gem to be unearthed from ‘Barely Moving’, following from lead single, and socioeconomic anthem 'Nothing Happens in Roseville'. Both tracks are indicative of a young band finding firm footing with their road-tested, hard-earned psychedelic tendencies.
UPSKIRTS play Broadbeach Tavern Sunday 30 August right here on the Gold Coast.
