STEVE TYSSEN - LOVE TO LOVE (WHITE LABEL)

Introducing the infectious genius of Brisbane based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and audio engineer Steve Tyssen and his new single ‘Love to Love’, dubbed as a sarcastic ode to the modern relationship.

Tyssen spent 6 months touring and writing in South America which resulted in a debut EP and following LP, an experimental collection of sounds that defined his style and voice. Now he has written, produced and recorded a brand new record..

‘Love to Love’ is an irony riddled pop anthem at heart but on the surface it’s carried by mechanical riffs, industrial sounds and crooning psychedelic vocals. The accompanying music video is the perfect visual expression of the song, and along with the single is available right now.

THE TAMBOURINE GIRLS – POLICE (CHUGG MUSIC)

The Tambourine Girls are casting off a first glimpse of their debut album to be released this year, with their brand-spanking-new single ‘Police’. Very spaced-out psych rock that seems to create a certain nostalgia with it’s subtle reverb and vocals. The creator of the group, Simon Relf, was born and raised with a solitary lifestyle in NSW Southern Highlands. 'Police' was inspired by the isolation of living outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. Recorded with producer Tim Whitten (Powderfinger, The Go-Betweens, Hoodoo Gurus & Augie March) 'Police' marks a distinct new chapter for the Chugg Music signees.
SWANS - GLOWING MAN  (MUTE / CREATE CONTROL)

The Glowing Man, announced as the last album release of SWANS’ current incarnation, will be followed by an extensive tour. The tour will unfold with dates beginning in North America in the summer, before returning to Europe. Swans formed in 1982 and, after disbanding in 1997, returned with the critically acclaimed albums My Father Will Guide Me Up A Rope To The Sky (2010), 2012’s The Seer and 2014’s To Be Kind. The finished album 'The Glowing Man will be released June 17th.

NOCTURNAL TAPES – PATTERN (INDEPENDENT )

NSW North Coast-based indie-electronic duo Nocturnal Tapes have just unveiled tour dates and new single ‘Pattern’ – the follow up to outstanding debut cut ‘Superficial Light’ released in early 2016. Taking cues from the likes of Jagwar Ma, Tame Impala and LCD Soundsystem, ‘Patterns’ delivers on an exciting and eclectic blend of psychedelia that meets indie-electronic. The Yamba dudes have been hand-picked to play boutique festivals and parties such as Mountain Sounds, Sweaty Palms and UTS Summerfest. Nocturnal Tapes have already traversed the East Coast multiple times and are fast gaining a reputation for putting on highly energetic and captivating performances. An accompanying music video for ‘Pattern’ will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

JOSH CASHMAN – PATIENCE (INDEPENDENT)

‘Patience’ is the first single for 2016 from Josh Cashman, a tale of a change in a relationship, hard honest reflection and a decision to move forward alone. ‘Patience’ is the follow up to previous singles ‘Running’ and ‘All About You’  which introduced the young Melbourne artist to a broader audience, received support at community radio around the country and resulted in a heavy touring schedule amongst which several sold out hometown shows and breaking into the Australian festival circuit with the likes of Queenscliff Music Festival and Nannup Music Festival. ‘Patience’ was recorded locally at Smooch Records in Melbourne with engineer Nikita Miltiadou, mixed by Matthew Neighbour (Matt Corby, Missy Higgins) and mastered by Adam Dempsey at Deluxe Mastering (Courtney Barnett, Sticky Fingers).

OLD FASHION – ROMEO (INDEPENDENT)

Old Fashion refines their riff driven rock n roll with a single full of energy that it could bring opposing families together over an air guitar solo. Emerging out of the beer stained stages of past bands, Old Fashion’s new single 'Romeo' was born from the guitar rock of Arctic Monkeys, the tongue in cheek charisma of The Darkness and the all round thrash out of Royal Blood.

The Sydney band, consisting of JJ Cole (vocals/guitar), Dave Cole (Guitar), Daniel Cowley(Bass) and Sam Johnston (Drums) craft their new single from heavy guitar riffs and bold singalong vocals reminiscent of The Who or Jack White. Inspired by people watching in seedy bars, 'Romeo' showcases the band’s refined new sound and gives a glimpse of what you can expect from their forthcoming EP.

  OWEN RABBIT - WEEDS (INDEPENDENT)

Owen Rabbit is a multi-instrumentalist and producer out of Melbourne's northern suburbs. Finding anything he can get his hands on to make an instrument. Together with beats and vocals he creates textured, haunting music. We are diggin this track 'Weeds'
