It's Tuesday, oh yes sir reeee and man this week is a goodie for new music. New material from two piece Polish Club, Angus Stone's project Dope Lemon , The Delta Riggs, Raave Tapes and moreeeee
POLISH CLUB - 'COME PARTY' (Universal Music Australia)

"Come Party". In the hands of howling Sydney rock-soul duo Polish Club, it's not so much a polite invitation as an offer you can't refuse. Like a rope tied to your hips, jerks your body sideways at double time and won't let go. All sweat-spattered drum-skins and grunting, hyper-agitated guitar, it's under three minutes of exhilarating garage soul that makes your blood fizz and your ears sing like a trash can falling down a set of concrete stairs.

THE DELTA RIGGS - 'JUNE GLOOM' (Rah Rah Radio // Inertia)

Cosmic disco punk rockers The Delta Riggs are back with new single “June Gloom”from third album ACTIVE GALACTIC. The new single a slight departure from previous party hits, still captures the bands unique psychedelic- punk energy from a parallel universe for all your listening pleasure. The Delta Riggs’ third studio LP ACTIVE GALACTIC has kept the band pretty busy, orbiting through two tours, spanning 30 dates, 25 venues and selling out shows whilst astounding earthly fans with their best music to date.

The intergalactic album was produced by the band and Jason Hollis and recorded in isolation at The Grove Studios in just nine days, featuring 13 songs straight from the mother ship.

HOLY HOLY - 'THAT MESSAGE' (Wonderlick Entertainment)

These elements have been distilled to perfection on latest offering, That Message.  As soon as the mechanic open hi-hat passes nonchalantly through the opening beat to the track, the audience is assured that HOLY HOLY are not a static entity.  Skillful guitar playing from Dawson punctuates the synthetic textures, while layered vocals from Tim Carroll float eerily upwards towards the unknown, repeating the mantra, “Let it go, let it go, let it go…” Speaking on the single, Carroll says, “The only guiding principle we stuck with was that we wanted to push ourselves and take some risks.  It was a challenging process and as is often the case, I think the restrictions pushed us into new and interesting territories.”

LANA DEL REY - 'LOVE' (Universal Music Australia)

Lana Del Rey just released a new video for her track “Love,” the first single off her upcoming fifth studio album. The clip, directed by Rich Lee, tells a pretty average love story (boy and girl ride off into the sunset in their vintage car) before trading in the video’s initial West Coast setting for outer space. “Love” is the singer’s first release since her last LP, Honeymoon, which bowed in September 2015. The song also serves as the first single from Del Rey’s upcoming new studio album, due out later this year.

DOPE LEMON - 'HOME SOON' (EMI Music Australia)

Angus Stone’s project Dope Lemon is set to release a new EP ‘Hounds Tooth’ on February 24, the follow up to last year’s critically acclaimed long-player, ‘Honey Bones’. Pre-order available Friday 17th. The opening track with its cheery vibration, horns and 1950’s South American funk flavour, is as unexpected as it’s backstory. ‘Home Soon’ is a breezy number that was born, not from the high-grade opiate pain-relief of what’s to come but from a track Angus stumbled across whilst traveling. Teaming up with the 1950’s Brazilian band that penned it, Angus added lyrics and made it his very own absolute pearl of a track.

JAMES VINCENT MCMORROW - 'ONE THOUSAND TIMES' (Dew Process)

Although it’s been six months since the release of James Vincent McMorrow’s triumphant We Move album, the record continues to reveal itself as one of his most ambitious and creative to date with the release of the new single, ‘One Thousand Times.’

The track, which features pounding, ’90s r’n’b drums, sparkling synth lines, and layers and layers of McMorrow’s signature falsetto and harmonies, the song stands as a perfect contrast to the quiet, contemplative acoustic nature of his early work. It’s production is bold, brash and dynamic, without sacrificing the rich songwriting talents McMorrow has built his reputation upon, and treads a similar path to earlier singles ‘Rising Water’ and ‘Get Low,’ on a record that gained international acclaim upon its release in September.

RAAVE TAPES - '2 U XOXO' (No-Fi Records)

Emerging from the beer-soaked and glitter-filled local house party scene, indie-punk rock trio and Newcastle’s favourite sons, RAAVE TAPES, have just revealed their new single ‘2 U xoxo’ and East Coast tour dates.

The unapologetic garage grit of ‘2 U xoxo’ is a raw and infectious party thrasher, taking cues from some of the groups staple influences, Death From Above 1979, Crystal Castles and The Mess Hall. The track is also an ode to the intricacies of modern dating and how annoying it is that good looking people don’t have to be able to dance.

VERA BLUE - 'Private' (Universal Music Australia)

Vera Blue has released the first official single from her highly anticipated debut album set to be released in 2017. ‘Private’ will be supported by a national single tour covering all major capital cities.

On Private, it’s a new sound and a new attitude for Vera Blue. Barely two keyboard chords into the song and she’s there; singing with an intensity never heard before from the girl from small town Forbes.
“It’s basically about wanting someone you can’t have, whether they’re a best friend or a celebrity. You’re basically falling for someone you can’t go for,” Vera Blue says. “It’s the fantasy of wishing you could be with someone but you can’t.”
