DORSAL FINS - 'HIGH LOW' (Remote Control)

Dorsal Fins have today released a new video for 'High Low,' the latest single from their album Digital Zodiac out now through Dot Dash / Captured Tracks in North America and Dot Dash / Remote Control Records for the rest of the world. This comes on top of the announcement of the band's Digital Zodiac album tour, kicking off in March 2017. Full tour and ticket details below.

Of the single, co-frontwoman Ella Thompson explains "High Low is a meditation on the extremes of the world. Ups and downs, love and war and our connection to one another." The video was directed by Tim Hillier and features the band exploring the Warburton Redwood Forest in a hyper-pixelated dreamstate. Watch it via the image below.

SAFIA - 'TOGETHER LOCKED SAFELY' (Warner Music)

Hot on the heels of their sold out national album tour, an ARIA nomination for Breakthrough Artist and a 2016 J Award nomination for ‘triple j Australian Album of the Year’, SAFIA today present new single 'Together Locked Safely'.

The outfit’s highly acclaimed debut LP Internal debuted at #2 on the ARIA Album chart, #1 on the itunes Album chart and cracking over 30 million Spotify streams.

Next up for the group are sets at Southbound, Beyond The Valley and Field Day ahead.

CIRCA WAVES - 'WAKE UP' (Dew Process)

This new single finds the band re-establishing themselves with a powerhouse rock sound, thanks to the co-production skills of Circa Waves frontman Kieran Shudall and studio legend Alan Moulder (Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Killers, Foo Fighters, Royal Blood, NIN). ‘Wake Up’ sees walls of fuzzed guitars jostling for space with Shudall’s trademark melodies, re-introducing the world to a band ready to push their sound forward and claim their place at the top of the table of UK guitar bands.

‘Wake Up’ is the first new single the Liverpool quartet has released since their massive 2015 album Young Chasers, and premiered as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World in the UK, as well as being given its Australian radio premiere by triple j yesterday.

EMPIRE OF THE SUN - 'FRIENDS' (Emi Music)

Empire of the Sun have released a new music video for “High and Low,” the lead single from their upcoming album, Two Vines (out October 28 via Astralwerks). Directed and produced by Empire of the Sun, it begins with a group of people in the forest. They then try to make their way up to Empire of the Sun in the sky. From there, the band perform across various striking backdrops.

Earlier this year, they also released the album’s title track. Two Vines features contributions from Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham and Wendy Melvoin (from Prince’s band the Revolution)
BORNEO - 'HOLD ME IN THE RIVER' (Independent)

With the moon rising in Australian punk rock, a jangly, alt-rock cherry of colour and disco conformity appears. Sydney five-piece, Borneo, are birthed from said musically, natural cataclysmic event. Branding a style of grounded, humourous personalities and the funky-punk sensations of Devo-meets-David Byrne, Borneo have little to prove in this big world.

Borneo are well thrilled to release the first taster of their debut EP. Striking while the iron is hot, following on from their previous global smash hit single, 'Eating Animals', the group's new single, 'Hold Me In The River' is out today via GD FRNDS.

ALEX L’ESTRANGE - 'NOTHING TO HIDE' (Independent)

Nothing To Hide is hazy, evoking a nebulous feeling of early Tame Impala, or even The Beatles of Revolver times.  L’Estrange’s voice sits defiantly atop an intoxicating, guitar-driven instrumental that pulls towards the magnetic, soaring chorus.  L’Estrange reflects on the track, “It was written on one of those strange days that felt more like a dream.  I’d been working away at this tune, I knew it had something about it that I’d never felt before, but I didn’t find out about what that really meant until later that night.  That evening, a stranger visited me at the house I was living at in Auchenflower.  I ended up going back to her mansion that she lived at alone.  She divulged her life story.  When I finally got back home, the song made sense.  It was for her.”

SUNSAP - 'HANGING HEARTS' (Independent)

Formed on New South Wales’ South Coast, with half the members living there and the other half in Sydney, Sun Sap spend most of their time seeking solace at drummer, Shaun Gaida’s coastal farm, ‘Alhambra’. Converging on the farm after some time apart and abroad, the band came together effortlessly to write and record the demos they’d written while away.

One of those many fruits of the sessions is their second single “Hanging Hearts”, recorded by Shaun Gaida and mixed by Timothy R Dunn (Kirin J Callanan, Frowning Clouds, Straight Arrows) at Hanging Tree Studios. Reluctant to reveal all, Adam explains "Hanging Hearts" “is a bit of a look at lovers, at life and the ups and downs that comes with it.”

PORTER ROBINSON AND MADEON, MAT ZO REMIX - 'SHELTER' (Independent)

‘Shelter’ is the first taste of new music since Porter Robinson’s album Worlds debuted at #13 on the ARIA Charts, #3 on the Australian iTunes charts and in Billboard’s Top 20.  Having performed on our shores for the first time as part of Stereosonic in 2014, his Worlds tour, an interactive live show as ambitious as the album it was named for, saw Porter return to Australia in 2015 for a run of sold out dates and a much-talked about performance at Splendour in the Grass.
