Gary Collocott releases EP
Gary Collocott has today released his debut EP 'Control Freak'.
We at Lennox Groove are delighted to introduce you to Gary Collocott and band who have today released their debut EP 'Control Freak'
Gary Collocott is a young musician based in the Byron Bay hinterland. He grew up in the tiny South African town of Paddock, moving to the Byron Bay region with his family when he was 12. He is music mad and since his teens he has played 100s of shows locally with his trusty acoustic guitar and packing a book full of his original song ideas.
Gary has teamed up with Nath at Lennox Groove to take the step up onto bigger stages, with an amazing full band behind him. Joining Gary are Rachael Goddard on drums, Alex Pereira on bass and Nelson Ludeke on lead guitar. Fans of Lime Cordiale, Catfish and the Bottlemen and Ocean Alley should love the new music from Gary.
Audiences have already been enjoying two earlier singles from the EP 'Doesn't Mean You' (which was added to Spotify's 'New Music Friday' and 'Rock Essentials') and 'Corrupted Young Mind' (which scored Gary his first play on Australia's Triple J radio). Gary and the band also shot a stunning music video for 'Doesn't Mean You', high on the cliffs above Lennox Head. You can check out that video here... https://youtu.be/3ATnaCVdZ4s
The EP was recorded and produced by Brisbane based Zak Muller and mastered by Jarra Grigg at Blackbird Audio.
The band will be premiering the EP live at the Beach Hotel Byron Bay on Friday 12 November 2021 in support of Taj Ralph. It is a free show and the music will start at 8.30pm. One not to be missed! Check out the EP and links to Gary's socials and shows here... https://linktr.ee/garycollocott
