Introducing SUPERSOAKERR

There is a huge buzz around new act Supersoakerr which has been created by four great indie musicians with strong ties to the Gong, Sydney and Newy scenes. They have come together in their love of fuzzy garage rock and have jumped fast out of the gates announcing their debut self-titled album to be released on 15 October 2021.

‘Supersoakerr’ the record has been carefully crafted and curated by the band over the last year. It is a record packed full of fun high energy tracks and takes influence from garage rock acts such as WAVVES, Bleeding Knees Club, Best Coast and Jeff the Brotherhood. The album has been created with the assistance of hot producer Matt Cochran (Walken).

Supersoakerr members in previous bands have played over 400 live shows and have called on this skill and experience over the last 6 months to meticulously put together and rehearse the Supersoakerr set. They will hit the stage full force for what will be an unforgettable series of shows. The band is conscious that so many of their mates have been out of work and locked down over the last year. They want their shows to be highly accessible and are determined to make the majority ‘free entry’ and are working hard to secure great venues on this basis. Subject to Covid restrictions you can catch Supersoakker on 6 August with Pandamic at The Cambridge in Newcastle and on 7 August at Crowbar as part of VIVID Sydney celebrations along with Straight Arrows and more. Supersoakerr has teamed up with their mates at Doom Juice Wine and Bruiser Skateboards for mutual support of these two startups (or upstarts!) as the tour unfolds and the album is released.

The first single from the LP is ‘Such a Bore’ is to be released on 3 August 2021. A track which laments the daily grind and tries to blast it away with fun fuzzy guitars.
