Our Australian Music Video of the Week is for the track 'All in Vain' from Sydney indie-pop duo Salarymen.

RAGE ABC have beaten us to the punch and given the MV a very deserving spot on their coveted playlist.

The Music Video shot by Todd Stephen Logan, features nostalgic, analogue visuals of Renee and Thom performing around some of Sydney’s most picturesque landscapes. Despite being limited to the confines of the Inner West Council due to pandemic restrictions, the duo saw it as an opportunity to pay homage to some iconic locations in the area, including Balmain’s foreshore and Sydney Harbour, Newtown’s backstreets and Sydney Park

Salarymen have one of the most instantly recognizable and unique sounds on the Aus Music Scene. It's not easy describing exactly how this is done, otherwise everyone would be doing it! But factors no doubt including brilliant songwriting, the dynamic between the duo who effortless weave vocals around each other, and a delicate and clever instrumentality. 'All in Vain' is another track from Salarymen which has a timeless sound to it. We can imagine this track being a hit in any one of the last 6 decades, and it certainly deserves to be so in this one!!
